  Nerja is a municipality in the province of Malaga and the easternmost town in the region of la Axarquia. The municipality has a mild climate all year, which makes it a tourist destination chosen by many to plan a vacation on the Costa del Sol.

Nerja is located about 52km east of Malaga city and about 100km from Granada and the ski resort of Sierra Nevada.

It has a long history proved by the paintings found in the famous Nerja Cave which was discovered in 1959. Nowadays is the most visited tourist site after the Spanish Museo del Prado in Madrid and the Alhambra in Granada.
